HOW DO I APPLY TO PLAY AT THE FESTIVAL?

Registrations of interest to play are now open. Click the large button on the Home page "registrations to play are now open".

It will take you to a Survey Monkey page with a series of questions that we need you to answer.

WHAT INFORMATION WILL I NEED TO SUPPLY TO BE CONSIDERED?

Within the registration link we will be asking for your contact details, a short biography, number of band members, staging requirements ie drums etc, links to Website/SoundCloud/YouTube/Facebook page.

The more complete the information the more of a chance you have being selected.

DOES EVERYONE WHO APPLIES GET SELECTED?

Unfortunately because of the number of applications to play (especially bands) have now exceeded the slots available we cannot not accept all acts like we have in the past. The Festival Director has absolute discretion on who is selected. If you are not selected please understand that getting the balance of the program is a difficult task and that we just cannot accommodate everyone. Having said that we are more likely to say yes rather than no and will take as many appropriate acts as we can.

IF I GET SELECTED DO I GET PAID?

The Aireys Inlet Open Mic Music Festival is a music making festival, not a money making festival. It runs on sponsorship and donations and is free to attend. The festival team are a bunch of passionate locals who volunteer their time for the love of music.  All the money raised goes back into hiring all the marquees, great sound equipment and awesome sound techs plus a million other bits that are needed to run the festival. So, unfortunately, there is no fee available which is traditional in the open mic format.

IF I GET SELECTED, HOW LONG CAN I PLAY?

Each act gets a 45 minute set (including set up). Bands will generally only get one opportunity to play because of the number of applications we receive and the amount of Band slots we have. Acoustic acts (not requiring drums) will often be offered multiple opportunities to play at the festival because we have a lot more space available.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DOES THE FESTIVAL PROVIDE?

We supply the all the back line equipment and professional sound engineers on the band stages. This includes drums, amps, microphones etc. We do this to keep the change overs quick so that your 45 minute set (including set up) doesn't get eaten into. Lead guitarists can bring their own amp but its up to you how long you waste setting up. For acoustic stages we just supply a PA with Amp that you can just plug into, There is a Host for every stage and they will do their best to assist where possible.
