Momoko Rose

Though Momoko's main musical inspiration stems from her love of folk music, her sound as an artist is anything but. Inspired by other weird and wonderful soloists - Bjork, Sufjan Stevens, Johanna Newsom - there is an ethereal quality to Momoko's music. Her songs are riddled with dissonance, jazz harmony and unorthodox time signatures. Momoko leads a 4-piece band, juxtaposing electric and acoustic instrumentation - the traditional and the modern. The magic of Momoko's sound is unbound by genre, simply adopting different soundscapes as a vessel to spirit us away into her landscape of emotion.
