Magnets

Magnets is the musical moniker of Melbourne based, Siobhan McGinnity. Having started out behind keys and BV's playing sessionally for artists such as Ali Barter and Henry Wagons, she's finally out on her own.

Trained as a classical pianist from the age of 6,
Magnets' sound is as eclectic as her past, traversing her classical influences and blending them seamlessly with her modern love of pop and prog-rock. Her debut EP, Perpetual Motion, is testimony to her journey as an artist, self-discovery and strength as a woman overcoming
adversity.

Outside of music, Magnets is the CEO and founder of Musicians 4 Hearing, funding hearing care in the developing world, a PhD researcher preventing hearing loss in musicians, and a nominee for the Anti-poverty award of Australia (Uniting Care).
