St Augustine

St.Augustine (Brett Augustine) grew up in the Australian countryside and it wasn't until his late teens that he picked up a guitar and began writing songs as a form of therapy for broken relationships, fractured families and to emit some honesty he so desperately yearned for. His storytelling comes from wanting to face the truth, to expose his vulnerability, however beautiful or confronting that may be.

 

After moving to Canada in 2010, St.Augustine traveled to remote Whitehorse, Yukon. In this former gold rush town, in a snow induced coma.. a new batch of songs awoke and with them the burden and weight of broken promises and the yearning for forgiveness, were penned down and exposed. After releasing singles Dance Away and Surrendering St.Augustine returned to Australia and has played the last 3 years at the Aireys Inlet Open Mic Music Festival.
