The Mansions

We are The Mansions. We need our music to have melody and space. We think that’s what’s between the notes is important. We tell stories of love, loss and city life. We like light and shade. Back then we listened to Beatles, Stones, Faces, Dylan, Who, Young, and Gram. In the middle we listened to Scott Walker, Tim Harden ,Waits, Big Star, Pixies, Ride, Swervedriver, and the Bad Seeds. Now we listen to Delta Spirit, Alt J, Dawes, Spoon, The Drones, Sparklehorse, Damon Albarn, Wilco and Ryan Adams. We want things slightly broken. We like vulnerability. We hear quiet noise. We want our music to say all of these things
